Upaya Peningkatan Pengetahuan tentang Endometriosis pada Perempuan Usia Reproduktif Awal
Abstract
Endometriosis is defined as a condition of the presence of endometrial epithelium and/ or stromal cells outside the uterine cavity. Unfortunately, many women often experience a delayed diagnosis of endometriosis which results in unnecessary suffering and reduced quality of life. Providing health education about endometriosis is expected to increase women's awareness from the time they enter reproductive age about the dangers of endometriosis. The form of community service activities carried out is health counseling about endometriosis. Counseling was carried out for D3 Medical Record and Health Information students, Universitas Dian Nuswantoro Semarang in December 2022. Counseling is carried out by lecture, discussion, and question-and-answer methods. Evaluation of counseling results is carried out through a pre-test and post-test using several questions that participants can access via the google form link. From the 23 counseling participants, 20 participants answered the pre-test and post-test questions. The counseling evaluation showed there was an increase in the knowledge level of the participants, from an average score of 68.75 before the counseling to 97.5 at the post-test. Based on the evaluation, it can be concluded that health education about endometriosis is proven to be able to increase the knowledge of counseling participants about endometriosis.
