Community Service: Empowerment in Caring Among Degenerative Patient at Meteseh Village
Abstract
Empowerment in caring among degenerative patients involves a comprehensive approach focused on enhancing their sense of autonomy, resilience, and active participation in their healthcare journey. This empowerment is achieved through education that equips patients with a deeper understanding of their conditions, encouraging them to make informed decisions about their health. This PKM activity offers a solution by providing educational activities about treating diabetes and hypertension. Activities were carried out on 38 participants who suffered from hypertension and diabetes in Meteseh village, Boja, Kendal district. The result of the activity is an increase in the ability of residents with diabetes and hypertension to care for themselves.
