Abstract

Psychosocial is the relationship between a person's social condition and their mental/emotional health. Psychosocial aspects are important aspects that must also be managed well by nurses in addition to the physical aspects of palliative patients. The method used was descriptive analysis carried out on 32 nurses who were given training on psychosocial care for palliative patients. Activities are evaluated with 5 pretest and posttest statements. The results of the training activities showed an overview of the characteristics of respondents to the psychosocial palliative care training activities and a description of the increase in knowledge related to the psychosocial aspects of palliative care, where before the training the minimum pre-test score was 1 after the post-test was 5 and there was an increase in knowledge as seen from the increase in the average post-test score of 1. 0.6%. The next suggestion is that there needs to be research regarding the effectiveness of palliative psychosocial training for palliative nurses.
