Cervical Cancer Self Management Education (CSME) meningkatkan kualitas hidup pasien dengan kanker serviks
Abstract
Kanker serviks merupakan salahsatu penyakit kronis dengan berbagai gejala penyerta selama sepanjang hidup pada penderita. Pasien dengan kanker serviks dapat melakukan manajemen diri terhadap gejala. Beberapa memiliki kemampuan untuk beradaptasi terhadap gejala yang muncul, namun ada juga yang mengungkapkan ketidaksiapan dalam mengelola gejala. Informasi kesehatan sangat penting untuk pasien, berupa mempromosikan rasa kontrol, menurunkan tekanan emosional, mendukung manajemen diri yang efektif, dan menghilangkan gangguan dari aktivitas sehari-hari. Penelitian ini bertujuan untuk mengetahui pengaruh cervical cancer self management education(CSME) terhadap kualitas hidup pasien dengan kanker serviks. Desain penelitian yang digunakan, yaitu eksperimen semu dengan pendekatan pre dan post test pada kelompok kontrol dan intervensi. Besar sampel minimal ditentukan berdasarkan tujuan menguji hipotesis beda dua proporsi kelompok independen dan nilai proporsi efek terapi standar (P1) dengan metode pengambilan sampel menggunakan simple random samplingsejumlah 37 responden. Hasil penelitian menunjukkan bahwa CSME berpengaruh terhadap kualitas hidup pasien dengan kanker serviks dengan nilai p= 0,000.Â
