LAW ENFORCEMENT AGAINST CRIMINAL ACTS OF VIOLENCE BY CHILDREN THAT RESULT IN DEATH IN THE JURISDICTION OF THE BREBES RESORT POLICE
Abstract
Current developments not only have a big influence on the Indonesian state but also have an impact on the development of society, behavior and cultural shifts in society. This problem causes the crime rate to increase, which is not only committed by adults, but many children also commit criminal acts. Several types of criminal acts that are often committed by children, causing unrest in society, include brawls between groups. The problem in this research is to find out law enforcement against criminal acts of violence by children which result in death in the jurisdiction of the Brebes Police, and to find out the factors causing the increase in children committing violent crimes, as well as to find out the obstacles experienced by the Brebes Police in enforcing these acts. criminal violence committed by children. The method used by researchers is a sociological juridical legal approach, while the type of research used is descriptive. The sources and types of data in this research are primary data obtained from field studies, interviews with investigators in the jurisdiction of the Brebes Police, and secondary data obtained from literature studies related to law enforcement theory and legal certainty theory. Based on research results, law enforcement against criminal acts of violence by children in Brebes Regency has been carried out optimally. After a report was made to the police, the Brebes Police immediately arrested the suspects and evidence of violence. The Brebes Police also carried out a follow-up investigation after the report occurred. violent crime. Meanwhile, factors that cause brawls between students include internal factors such as family disharmony and personal problems, as well as external factors such as the economy, lack of supervision, bullying, the environment and peer influence. As well as the obstacles faced by the Brebes Police in enforcing the law against criminal acts of violence by children, including lack of information, lack of cooperation from the family, and difficulties in collecting evidence.
