Tingkat pengetahuan ibu menyusui berpengaruh terhadap upaya untuk meningkatkan produksi ASI selama pandemi COVID 19

Abstract


Pendahuluan: Nutrisi terbaik bagi bayi adalah ASI, karena ASI memiliki zat gizi yang sangat lengkap dan sesuai dengan kebutuhan bayi terutama bayi 0-6 bulan. Kesuksesan ibu menyusui dipengaruhi oleh multi factor diantaranya adalah umur, pendidikan, pengetahuan dan pengalaman ibu tentang upaya dalam menyusui termasuk didalamnya produksi ASI serta upaya untuk meningkatkan produksi ASI. Kondisi pandemi yang tidak menentu dan penuh kekhawatiran berdampak terhadap timbulnya kecemasan yang dapat menghambat produksi ASI. Penelitian ini bertujuan untuk mengetahui hubungan tingkat pengetahuan ibu menyusui dengan upaya untuk meningkatkan produksi ASI di masa pandemi. Metode: Penelitian deskriptif korelasional dengan pendekatan crossectional. Populasi dalam penelitian ini adalah ibu menyusui, dengan sampel sebanyak 57 responden yang diambil dengan tehnik concecutive sampling. Analisis data menggunakan statistik deskriptif dan Chi Square. Hasil: Hasil penelitian menunjukkan bahwa hampir keseluruhan responden berada pada usia reproduksi yaitu sebanyak 45 responden (78,9%), tingkat pendididikan SMA dan Perguruan Tinggi yaitu sebanyak 39 responden (68,4%) dan hampir keseluruhan responden memiliki tingkat pengetahuan yang baik tentang upaya meningkatkan produksi ASI yaitu sebanyak 48 responden (84,2%) serta upaya untuk meningkatkan produksi ASI dalam kategori baik sebanyak 40 responden (70,2%). Simpulan: Ada hubungan yang signifikan antara tingkat pengetahuan ibu menyusui dengan upaya untuk meningkatkan produksi ASI dimasa pandemi.
