Andi Hamzah

Abstract

The digital era has brought significant changes in human life, particularly in terms of information access and communication. However, this technological advancement also poses new challenges related to the protection of human rights, especially in data and privacy. This article explores the development of human rights protection in the digital era, focusing on privacy and data protection. We review the impact of digital technology on privacy rights, evaluate existing international legal frameworks, and analyze national data protection implementations. We also discuss current issues such as the use of big data and the role of technology companies, and provide policy recommendations to enhance privacy protection. In conclusion, the protection of human rights in the digital era requires a multidimensional approach, including legal updates, international cooperation, and increased public awareness.
