Islamic Legal Perspective on the Implementation of Online Marriage Contracts During the Covid-19 Pandemic
The validity of a marriage is the achievement of the pillars and conditions of marriage that have been determined by Islamic law. One of the pillars that is being discussed now is consent and Qabul online, seeing the current condition of the pandemic, there is a lot of news about marriage contracts online due to various obstacles. Apart from that, nowadays technology is increasing sophisticated and developing which makes human work easier. The purpose of this research is to examine the online marriage contract law that is currently happening. This study uses a qualitative research method with the type of library research by tracing references in the form of journals, articles, and books related to the main theme of online marriage contracts. Scholars and fiqh experts have provided arguments about whether or not marriage is legal using an online contract. According to scholars, online marriage contracts are valid if what is meant by one place is one time, not one place of contract. So, after saying Ijab, Qabul is also pronounced immediately.
