HUBUNGAN PERILAKU PHUBBING DAN EMPATI MAHASISWA UNISSULA

Abstract


Penelitian ini bertujuan untuk menguji hubungan antara perilaku phubbing dan empati mahasiswa Universitas Islam Sultan Agung. Populasi dalam penelitian ini adalah mahasiswa S1 reguler Universitas Islam Sultan Agung Semarang. Sampel yang digunakan mahasiswa S1 Reguler Fakultas Psikologi Universitas Islam Sultan Agung Semarang yang memiliki smartphone. Metode pengambilan data menggunakan purposive sampling. Alat ukur yang digunakan terdiri dari dua skala yaitu skala phubbing berjumlah 10 aitem dengan koefisien reliabilitas 0,799 dan skala empati terdiri dari 33 aitem dengan koefisien reliabilitas 0,877. Analisis data menggunakan korelasi product moment. Berdasarkan hasil analisis yang telah dilakukan diperoleh koefisien korelasi (ð‘Ÿð‘¥ð‘¦) -0,440 dengan taraf signifikan sebesar 0,000 (p<0,01). Hal ini dapat disimpulkan bahwa terdapat hubungan negatif yang signifikan antara phubbing dan empati sehingga hipotesis yang telah diajukan dalam penelitian ini diterima.
