Improving The Performance of Human Research Research Directorate Specially Through The Quality of Interpersonal Communication And teamwork Skill, in The Context of Ict Use Experience

Abstract


Abstract. This study explores the influence of interpersonal communication quality and teamwork skills on improving the performance of Human Resources (HR) in the Directorate of Special Criminal Investigation of the Central Java Regional Police, as well as the role of experience in using Information and Communication Technology (ICT) as a moderator in this relationship. A total of 92 respondents from the HR Directorate were selected using the proportionate stratified random sampling technique to obtain representative data. Primary data were collected through a questionnaire, which assessed respondents' perceptions of the research variables using an interval scale of 1 to 5. Data analysis was carried out using structural equation modeling through the Partial Least Square (PLS) version 4.0 approach. The results of the study indicate that the quality of interpersonal communication has a positive and significant influence on improving teamwork skills and HR performance. In addition, teamwork skills also make a positive contribution to HR performance. Furthermore, increasing experience in using ICT apparently strengthens the influence of interpersonal communication quality and teamwork skills on HR performance. These findings indicate the importance of strengthening interpersonal communication competencies and team collaboration in the context of increasing the use of ICT to optimize performance in specialist police units. This study provides insights for HR managers in the police sector to develop integrative performance improvement strategies, utilizing information technology, and focusing on developing interpersonal skills and team collaboration.
